First semester

The academic programme in the first semester equips students with advanced general knowledge, orientation and skills to analyse the foundations of European integration. All students follow compulsory core courses, which provide them with a common base of knowledge on the system of EU governance, the EU legal order, European economic integration, and European history, as well as an insight into the forces shaping the political environment of today’s societies. They also study EU external relations as well as the specificities of Central and Eastern Europe.
The first semester study trip offers to students a deeper understanding of European identities and a first-hand experience of policies in practice at the EU’s borders. After finishing their first semester with a comprehensive and well-contextualized grasp of European integration, Natolin students then move to the second semester where they specialize in one of the four offered thematic majors, customizable according to student interests.

Second
semester

The European Interdisciplinary Studies programme is updated annually to align with economic, political, social, and technological developments. In the second semester, students select one of four thematic majors and customize their study plan based on their interests. They benefit from skill-focused workshops, simulation games, masterclasses, and a second study trip. Additionally, students write a Master’s thesis on a topic related to their coursework.
